Zajel Institute's various projects fulfill the organization's mission to create conversations that engage individuals and organizations within the Arab diaspora. The goal is to work towards a better vision for the Middle East with their contributions to different discourses like human rights and democracy.
Policy and Research
Produce research related to the Middle East and Arab diaspora and also monitor research publications that are produced about the region. Zajel Institute's research will give a unique perspective on the recent changes in the Middle East from a diaspora community lens.
New Initiatives
Members of the Arab diaspora network will have the opportunity to express themselves and continue to make contributions towards their areas of expertise by empowering them to develop new projects.
Space for Dialogue
Zajel Institute wants to inspire the exile community to work on developing a shared understanding of the needs and strengths of the Arab world. An example of this is Zajel Institute’s inaugural Diaspora Workshop bringing together participants to listen to their opinions, voices, and contributions while they discuss commonalities and differences about the diaspora and the Arab world.
Network of Support
Zajel Institute wants to create communication between members of the Arab exile community. Many of the individuals who are interspersed around the globe feel a sense of isolation and loss. The network offers basic support by helping members access a variety of resources in their localities.
