About Us

Zajel Institute is a not-for-profit and non-partisan organization which provides space for dialogue and a network of support for the Arab diaspora who whether voluntarily or by force left their homes in the Middle East. The diaspora includes leading activists, journalists, thinkers, writers, artists, and politicians.

Mission

Zajel Institute's mission is to create policy research and analysis from what is articulated by the Arab diaspora through discussions. Equally important is empowering the community to continue to express themselves and contribute to the discourse on human rights, democracy, and equality.

Zajel Institute aims to create an inclusive space by building support networks where disparate individuals can connect. More importantly, bringing the voice of the Arab diaspora to policy discussions. Events organized by Zajel will bring members together to discuss their hopes and vision for the Arab world and its future. Zajel Institute hopes that these initiatives will generate conversation which will engage people and organizations to build understanding and support for positive ideas and initiatives for the Middle East.
